EXPERIENCE: Practicing since 1987 in the field of Insurance Defense Litigation beginning in August of 1987 with experience in medical malpractice defense; successful jury trial experience in over 380 jury trials in both State and Federal Courts. Named a 2012 Super Lawyer for Personal Injury Defense, Civil Litigation Defense and Insurance Coverage, AV Preeminent ®  rated by Martindale-Hubbell rating system, named a Super-Lawyer of North Carolina in 2013, a top attorney in North Carolina by Charlotte Magazine in 2012, and an Advocate Member of the American Board of Trial Advocates as of June 2014; Adjunct Professor of Insurance and Law Trial Practice and Procedure at Elon University School of Law.
