EXPERIENCE: Practicing since 1990 in civil defense, Ms. Broom has significant jury trial experience in both North Carolina State and Federal District Courts of North Carolina representing primarily Insurance Defense and Corporate clients. Ms. Broom’s trial experience includes litigation in the fields of Insurance Defense, Medical Malpractice/Nursing Home Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, Business/Corporate Litigation and Employment Litigation as well as defending Worker’s Compensation claims. Ms. Broom is admitted to practice before all North Carolina state and federal courts and the Fourth Circuit. She has served the North Carolina Bar Association as the Chair of the Litigation Section, the Chair of the Trial Practice Curriculum Committee and the Chair of the Convention Planning Advisory Committee. She currently is a member of the North Carolina Association of Defense Attorneys, Defense Research Institute and the ABA.
